A now-viral video shows a violent confrontation between a Walmart employee and a group of women in Indianapolis, Indiana, reportedly over rape allegations.

Tikerra Hicks, the employee attacked, said she wasn’t involved in the alleged assault but is friends with both the accused and the victim. According to Fox 59, Hicks was at work when she started receiving calls about the incident. After returning to her cash register from the bathroom, she was suddenly confronted by a group of women demanding to know the alleged rapist’s whereabouts.

“I just hear, ‘There she go,’ and then boom—on the side of my head, I feel somebody hitting me,” Hicks recalled.

Kind Butler, a Walmart shopper who witnessed the fight, recorded the chaotic scene and later shared the video on Facebook.

“It was instantly on site,” Butler said. “There wasn’t any questioning, no anything. As soon as they saw the girl, the whole family came over and started beating her up.”

The video shows employees pulling Hicks away while two bystanders helped restrain the attackers, who continued shouting insults until the footage ended. According to a Beech Grove police report, Hicks is listed as an “other person” in a rape investigation, but she insists she has nothing to do with it.

“(The alleged rape) has nothing to do with me,” Hicks said. “I wasn’t there, even if it did happen, to protect him. And I wasn’t there to defend him either.”

She added, “I haven’t talked to any officers besides after the fight.”

Despite being the victim of the attack, Hicks says Walmart has suspended her. As of now, no arrests have been made. Walmart later released a statement condemning the violence at its North Indianapolis store.

“The violence that occurred at our store on Friday was unacceptable,” a Walmart spokesperson said. “We appreciate police for acting quickly.”
