KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A toddler died Sunday afternoon after being run over by an SUV in a residential driveway, according to the Kansas City Police Department (KCPD).
The incident happened around 1:48 p.m. in the 8100 block of E. 96th Terrace.
First responders arrived and found the child had been run over by the vehicle. The toddler was rushed to a nearby hospital but did not survive their injuries.
Police confirmed that the driver of the SUV remained at the scene as the investigation continues.
