MADISONVILLE, Tenn. – The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office arrested a “street-level drug dealer” following a Thursday drug bust.
Sheriff Tommy Jones said a joint investigation with the Tenth Judicial District Drug Task Force led to a search warrant at a home on Cedar Lane in Madisonville.
During the search, investigators seized several illegal narcotics, including fentanyl and methamphetamine.
One individual described as a street-level drug dealer was taken into custody, though their identity has not been released.
“Every dose of fentanyl or methamphetamine taken off the street is a life potentially saved,” Jones said. “Our deputies and task force partners work tirelessly to keep our neighborhoods safe, and this investigation is another example of that commitment.”
Jones added that the MCSO remains dedicated to working with local, state, and federal partners to stop dangerous drugs from being distributed in the community.
