PIKEVILLE, Ky. — A Pike County man is facing multiple charges after an alleged shoplifting incident at a Pikeville Walmart led police to uncover fentanyl and a firearm.
Police say 30-year-old Jordan Clark of Elkhorn City and a woman were caught Saturday attempting to leave the store without scanning items. When officers confronted Clark, they reportedly found a pistol in his pants pocket. A Walmart associate told police Clark had been banned from all Walmart locations since December 2023.
Officers also recovered a small bag of blue powder suspected to be fentanyl on Clark. During a vehicle search, police say they found a glass pipe and another bag of blue powder in his car.
Clark was arrested and booked into the Pike County Detention Center on charges of first-degree burglary, possession of drug paraphernalia, and first-degree possession of a controlled substance (fentanyl).
