With a cold front moving through, a new high-pressure system is set to take control of North Carolina’s weather, bringing drier and cooler air and setting up an extended stretch of pleasant conditions across central parts of the state.
Tonight, skies will be partly cloudy with warm lows and a slight chance of lingering showers. On Tuesday, expect mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies with warm afternoon highs. While the front will remain just off the coast, there’s only a small chance of isolated showers, and most areas should stay dry.
Looking ahead to the rest of the workweek and beyond, the forecast calls for quiet, dry, and stable weather across much of North Carolina.
