IOWA CITY, Iowa — A 45-year-old Iowa City man is facing serious charges after allegedly directing loggers to cut down 132 trees on land he did not own, according to the Johnson County Attorney’s Office.

Tyler Rogers reportedly told the loggers he owned the property in rural Johnson County and authorized them to harvest the trees in February. Investigators later confirmed the land and timber belonged to someone else.
