PIKE COUNTY, Ky. — A tragic off-road accident in Pike County claimed the life of a 14-year-old Friday evening.
Kentucky State Police say the crash occurred around 7:10 p.m. on a trail near Pinsonfork Road. A 2021 Can-Am UTV carrying two juveniles reportedly overturned.
The 14-year-old passenger was pronounced dead at the scene by the Pike County Coroner. The juvenile driver was transported to a hospital for treatment.
KSP confirmed the incident remains under investigation. Local fire departments and emergency crews assisted at the scene.
