When they arrived, troopers and emergency personnel discovered 30-year-old Jonathan Stewart dead near his off-road dirt bike.

The initial investigation indicates Stewart lost control of the bike due to slippery road conditions, causing him to hit a guardrail.

The Letcher County Coroner’s Office pronounced Stewart dead at the scene. Authorities confirmed he wasn’t wearing a helmet, and toxicology results are pending.

The investigation into the deadly crash remains ongoing.
