Kentucky State Police Investigate Fatal Collision on U.S. 119 in Pike County

SOUTH WILLIAMSON, KY – The Kentucky State Police (KSP) Pikeville Post received a call on August 28, 2025, at 8:34 p.m. reporting a vehicle collision involving a pedestrian on U.S. 119 in the South Williamson community of Pike County. Troopers from Post 9 responded and began investigating the incident.

According to the initial investigation, a black Audi A3 was traveling southbound on U.S. 119 when Meghan Jones, 36, of Williamson, WV, attempted to cross the roadway and was struck by the vehicle. Jones was pronounced dead at the scene by the Pike County Coroner’s Office. The investigation remains ongoing under KSP Accident Reconstructionist Trooper Matt Smith.
