One Person Dead After Being Struck by Vehicle in Indiana

INDIANA — A person was killed early Sunday morning after being hit by a car on the city’s southeast side, according to police.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers responded around 1 a.m. to the 8800 block of U.S. 31 South, near East County Line Road, following reports of a crash. When they arrived, they found a person who had been struck by a vehicle. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
